Any child under 15 years of age with acute flaccid paralysis, or any person of any age in whom polio is suspected, is an AFP case and must be reported immediately.
Two stool specimens collected 24–48 hours apart, within 14 days of paralysis onset, transported at 2–8°C, arriving in good condition.
